General Certificate of Education Ordinary (“O”) Levels

• 5Bs each in 5 subjects: Biology,Chemistry,Physics,Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and Another subject OR

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC)

• B4 each in 3 subjects: Biology,Chemistry,Physics or Advanced Mathematics

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

• A minimum of 30 points overall AND
• Attained a minimum score of 5 each in 3 of the following subjects:Biology,Chemistry,Physics or Mathematics With a minimum of 2 at Higher Level (HL) and 1 at Standard Level.

Monash University Foundation Pre-University Programme (MUFY)/University of New South Wales (UNSW) Foundation/Western Australian Curriculum Council/Higher School Certificate (HSC) /Sydney Australia Trinity College Foundation Studies/Australian Universities Foundation Programmes/South Australian Matriculation (SAM)/Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia Year 12/Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT)

• Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects: Biology,Chemistry (minimum 75%),Physics or Mathematics OR
• 75% TER/UAI/ENTER/ATAR provided the subjects include: Biology,Chemistry (minimum 75%),Physics or Mathematics,Diploma in Pharmacy or Diploma in Health Sciences or equivalent CGPA 3.5 (out of 4.0) AND
• Provided the programme is not less than 5 semesters or 2.5 years and completed in the same institution AND

Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

• 2Bs each in: Chemistry, Biology/Physics/Maths
• Credits in 3 other subjects including English

OR

General Certificate of Education Ordinary (“O”) Levels

• 2Bs each in: Chemistry and Biology/Physics/Maths AND

Degree in Health or Medical or Pure or Applied Sciences

• CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0)

Other international qualifications deemed equivalent to STPM/A-Levels by Malaysian Qualifications Agency

• Equivalent to an average of 75% for 3 subjects: Biology,Chemistry (minimum 75%),Physics or Mathematics

• Additional requirements: Minimum Grade C in English and Bahasa Melayu in SPM or an equivalent level is compulsory.

Note: Malaysian students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Malaysia are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before graduation. For civil-servant positions, refer to the Public Services Department guidelines.

Note: International applicants who do not meet the respective academic programme’s English Language Requirement will need to improve their proficiency by enrolling into the English for Tertiary Education programme (R/KJP/00920-00929) which helps them prepare for attaining a required band score. Placement into the various levels of the English for Tertiary Education programme depends on the English Language qualification students have at the point of admission and/or the outcome of the English Placement Test.
