Entry Requirements

  • SPM/O level: Possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject (biology/chemistry/physics/general science) and one any other subject, or its equivalent.
  • STPM: Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP2.00) in any subject, or its equivalent; and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject (biology/chemistry/physics/general science) and one any other subject, or its equivalent.
  • STAM: Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul, or its equivalent; and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject (biology/chemistry/physics/general science) and one any other subject, or its equivalent.
  • SKM: Pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) (Level 3, MQF) in a related field (health science related) and possess SPM with one (1) credit.
  • Certificate: A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent.
  • Note: Admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) programme requires SPM (science stream) with chemistry, biology and physics. The credit requirement at SPM level can be waived should the grades obtained at the STPM/STAM/Matriculation level are equivalent/higher.
  • UEC: Minimum grades of B in 3 subjects, inclusive of Mathematics and 1 science subject
  • Polytechnic/Certificate Equivalents: Minimum CGPA 2.0
  • Equivalent Courses: Case-by-case basis.
  • Matriculation: CGPA of 2.0 and above with minimum Grade E in Mathematics, one science subject (biology/chemistry/physics/general science) and one other subject.
  • Other qualifications deemed equivalent to SPM/O Level by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency: Aggregate 50% inclusive of Mathematics, one science subject and one other subject.
  • MUET: Band 3
  • CEFR: B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1)
  • SPM English Language: Grade B+
  • 1119/O Level/IGCSE: Grade C
  • UEC English Language: Grade A2
  • TOEFL IBT: 30-31
  • IELTS: 4.0
  • 1Cambridge English Qualification Test/Linguaskill: 140
  • Pearson Test: 36
  • Other equivalent qualification can be exempted on case-by-case basis.
  • Candidates who scored lower than B+ in SPM English Language or than the above requirement will have to take the SE004 Basic English subject before taking the SE005 English Foundation subject in the foundation year.
