About Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT)

The Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), formerly known as TAR University College (TAR UC), was founded in 1969. A premier tertiary education institution with over 50 years of excellence and rated 'Berdaya Saing (Competitive)' in the latest SETARA rating, the institution was recently upgraded to a full-fledged university in April 2022 with the vision of being a leading university capable of transforming the future.

Campus Location

TAR UMT Sabah Branch Campus is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and is only a 20-minute drive from the city. The campus is located just outside of the city and is surrounded by lush greenery.

In addition to the Sabah branch campus, TAR UMT has a main campus in Kuala Lumpur and branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang.

• TAR UMT athletes who have represented TAR UMT in Universiade Games, Asian University Games, SUKMA, SUKIPT, SIPMA and won at least a bronze medal are also eligible for this scholarship
