About Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT)
The Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), formerly known as TAR University College (TAR UC), was founded in 1969. A premier tertiary education institution with over 50 years of excellence and rated 'Berdaya Saing (Competitive)' in the latest SETARA rating, the institution was recently upgraded to a full-fledged university in April 2022 with the vision of being a leading university capable of transforming the future.
TAR UMT Sabah Branch Campus offers an impressive range of cutting-edge facilities which includes a Rooftop Sports Centre with a swimming pool, computer labs with high-speed internet access, up-to-date computer software, well-maintained lecture and tutorial rooms to improve students' learning experience, as well as various extracurricular and recreational facilities to enhance campus life.
TAR UMT’s main campus is in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. It also has other branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Pahang and Johor.

Campus Location
TAR UMT Sabah Branch Campus is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and is only a 20-minute drive from the city. The campus is located just outside of the city and is surrounded by lush greenery.
In addition to the Sabah branch campus, TAR UMT has a main campus in Kuala Lumpur and branch campuses in Penang, Perak, Johor and Pahang.
