Job Description

The successful candidate will be part of the Finance Unit of Kris Business Hub (KBH), a Malaysia-based entity providing corporate and operational services in Kuala Lumpur.

He/She will maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Company’s financial records by performing general ledger functions. He/She will also be responsible for the processing of journal entries, review and clearance of suspense accounts, and preparation of reports to support local tax and statutory reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Process and record journal entries, review of suspense accounts and bank reconciliation

• Process and record journal entries for accruals and/or reclassification.

• Monitor and ensure prompt clearance of suspense accounts.

• Follow up with stations on non-clearance of suspense accounts within defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set.

• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual finance closing activities.

• Monitor timely interface of bank statements, perform generation and review bank reconciliation, ensuring all unreconciled items are properly investigated and accounted for.

Statutory reporting functions and review of variance analysis review

• Generate reports and prepare schedules for audit/tax reporting requirements.

• Perform variance analysis of budget versus actual operational expenditure for for stations.

• Liaise with stations to obtain explanations and supporting details for the variances.

People and process improvements

• Provide coverage for team members when required to ensure continuity of finance operations.

• Participate and assist with ongoing process improvements such as participating in User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements.

• Participate in and support process improvement initiatives, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancements.

Requirement
Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.

• Experience with local tax reporting requirements will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) is preferred.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Excel.

• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Insourcing & Outsourcing Program

  • Primary contact personnel as intermediary between customer and service providers (Billing, hiring, employee-related matter throughout contract tenure)

  • Manage and track contract headcount supplied by service providers.

  • Procedure gatekeeper for each hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and contract renewal processes.

• Employee Relations & Industrial Relations

  • Manage disciplinary cases including of providing counselling, conducting Domestic Inquiries (DI) and issuing warning letters.

  • Primary contact person for grievances, misconduct and performance issues management in compliance with the Employment Act 1955 and Industrial Relations Act 1967.

  • Track and maintain employees' records regarding IR cases, warning letters and disciplinary actions.

  • Advise management on employees’ disputes and conflict resolution, and ensure management and employees are in compliance with the labor law, company policy and procedures.

  • Responsible to organize and manage employee engagement activities and CSR.

• General HR Services

  • To support cafeteria management such as timely inspection and record tracking, document preparation for audit purposes and any ad-hoc task as assigned.

  • To support and participate in HR ad-hoc project/works as assigned.
    

What skills and experiences are we looking:

• Degree in Human Resources Management or its equivalent with minimum 2 years relevant working experience in HRD (preferably ERIR) or an equivalent combination of education, training and / or working experience. 

• Knowledge in RBA standards is an advantage.

• Competent in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
