Roles
1. Responsible for all Electrical related plant maintenance, supervision of contractors, engineering and project work with the primary objective of ensuring that plant availability and reliability are maximised. Resolving problems and offering solutions, you will work in accordance with site procedures and maintenance strategies to ensure operational performance is maintained.
2. Assist the Electrical Engineer in planning and coordinating the Station’s Electrical maintenance programme (SAP)
3. Pro-activeness in solving problems to ensure all machineries and equipment in the plant is in tip-top condition and to minimize operation downtime.
4. Compliance to applicable policies and procedures.
5. Awareness and implementation of importance of HSE compliance.
6. Taking role implementing and maintaining the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in the station.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out maintenance activities including investigation of defects, analysis the defects and proceed with rectification as directed.
2. Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure comply with all company and legislative Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
3. Carry out housekeeping is done after completion of all work done by the job holder or by short term contractors under supervision.
4. The jobholder is to use his or her enhanced knowledge, skill and experience to teach and improve the skills and abilities of the Electrical Technicians.
5. Ensure the safe and efficient execution of all Electrical maintenance activities.
6. Plans and co-ordinates all Electrical maintenance activities.
7. Comply with all applicable SHEQ, legal requirements and our stakeholders’ specifications by establishing policies, programmes and practices in order to conduct operations in a healthy, safe and environmentally sound manner with safety first, quality foremost & pursuing excellence.
8. To perform other additional tasks that are relevant and necessary to accomplish the company overall objectives, which may be assigned from time to time.
Qualification & Competency
1. Minimum Education Qualification required:
a) Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, or
b) Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Power Engineering, or
c) Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Power)
2. Minimum Mandatory Competency (License) required:
a) Chargeman – Low Voltage System (A0)
Work & Experience
1. Minimum years of working experience related to the work scope:
a) 3 years of experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
b) Fresh Graduate with Chargeman competency is encouraged to apply.
2. Work experiences required:
a) Experience in maintenance of Combined Cycle Power Plant.
b) Experience in maintenance of other industry such as Petrochemical plant, Heavy Industry, Oil and Gas will be considered.
c) Experience in Maintenance Computerized System (SAP)
d) Technical understanding on electrical preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
Skills & Behaviour Traits
1. Able to work with minimum supervision.
2. Good communication and reading skills.
3. Good verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
4. Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawings.
5. Computer literate in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
This is Fixed-Term Contract employment.
