Responsibilities:
1) Primary Function
a) Spring Prototype Manufacturing
· Produce spring prototypes accurately according to engineering drawings and technical
specifications.
· Ensure prototype quality meets requirements with minimal errors and reduced rework.
· Follow approved processes, work instructions, and safety requirements during prototyping
activities.
b) Prototype Lead Time Management
· Complete all prototype-related work within the planned timeline.
· Proactively inform the Executive Engineer of any potential delays or risks affecting delivery
schedules.
c) Supplier Management (Prototyping & Fabrication)
· Prepare RFQ for jigs and fabrication items promptly and accurately.
· Perform effective follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
· Verify that jigs and fabricated items received meet the required specifications and drawings.
d) Part Validation & Trial Activities
· Support validation activities including dimensional measurement, fitment checks, and trial
runs.
· Prepare accurate and reliable inspection, measurement, and validation reports within the
required timeline.
· Support product development and technical approval processes.
e) Production Technical Support
· Provide immediate technical support to production when issues arise on the line.
· Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving to minimize downtime and ensure smooth
operations.
2) Secondary Function
a) Workplace & Tool Management
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area in accordance with 5S practices.
· Ensure all tools, equipment, and machines are in good working condition and ready for use.
· Report any damaged or malfunctioning tools or equipment to the relevant personnel.
b) Documentation & Continuous Improvement Support ·
. Assist in preparing technical data, process records, and supporting documentation.
· Support continuous improvement activities related to prototyping, tooling, and production support.
c) Cross-Functional Collaboration · Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure project and operational objectives are met.
Authority:
· Perform prototyping, measurement, validation, and trial activities according to approved
specifications and instructions.
· Communicate directly with suppliers regarding RFQ, delivery status, and technical clarification
within the defined scope.
· Escalate work and report issues if non-conformance, quality risk, or safety concerns are
identified.
Qualification requirements:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing / Automotive Engineering
Working experience requirements:
· 1–3 years experience
Organization knowledge requirements: · Cold coiling, heat treatment / tempering, shot peening, presetting, surface treatment / coating (e.g. powder coating), engineering drawings, tolerances and basic GD&T concepts, dimensional measurement methods, microstructure analysis, 5S and workplace organization
Skills & Competencies requirements:
· Good visual, hearing ability physically fit.
· Able to work in shift.
· Able to follow and execute instructions.
· Good coordination with eyes and hands.
· Able to work in repetitive movement.
· Adaptability, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
