About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Business Analyst to join our delivery team and support a large-scale enterprise SAP engagement. This role plays a critical part in ensuring strong alignment between business stakeholders and delivery teams, with clear ownership of requirements, backlogs, and end-to-end follow-through.
The role is functional and business-focused, ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with clients, understanding business processes, and ensuring solutions deliver real value. This is not a technical or development role.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
· Act as a key functional interface between business stakeholders and delivery teams
· Engage with client business users to understand needs, priorities, and pain points
· Facilitate workshops, requirement discussions, and solution reviews
· Communicate clearly and effectively across both business and technical audiences
Requirements & Backlog Management
· Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements
· Create and manage user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria
· Own and maintain project backlogs, including enhancements and defects
· Support prioritisation and ensure clarity and readiness of backlog items
Delivery Support & Follow-through
· Work closely with SAP functional consultants and technical teams during delivery
· Support Agile or hybrid delivery activities including sprint planning and reviews
· Track progress, dependencies, risks, and issues, driving resolution where needed
· Support UAT planning, execution, and defect triage from a business perspective
Functional & Process Understanding
· Develop a strong understanding of client business processes and how they map to SAP solutions
· Validate solutions against business requirements and expected outcomes
· Identify process gaps, improvement opportunities, and potential enhancements
· Ensure solutions are practical, usable, and aligned with business expectations
Continuous Improvement & Value Creation
· Proactively identify opportunities for optimisation, automation, or solution expansion
· Contribute to roadmap discussions and future-state planning
· Support ongoing improvement initiatives within existing engagements
Skills & Experience
• 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in SAP environments
• Strong understanding of SAP functional processes (e.g. MM, SD, FICO, PP, QM, EWM, or similar)
• Proven experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, documentation, and backlog management
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills
Nice to Have
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or large enterprise environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or SAP Solution Manager
• Experience supporting UAT, go-live, and post-go-live activities
