Job Title: Datacom Engineer (Johor)

Position Summary

The Datacom Engineer is responsible for the implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and structured cabling systems. The role supports project deployment and maintenance contracts across commercial, industrial, and government sectors in Johor.

 Key Responsibilities

1. Network Implementation & Configuration

·        Install, configure, and commission:

o   Core & Access Switches

o   Routers

o   Wireless Controllers & Access Points

o   Firewalls & VPN devices

·        Configure:

o   VLAN, STP, RSTP

o   Inter-VLAN routing

o   OSPF/BGP (basic to intermediate)

o   NAT, IPSec VPN, SSL VPN

·        Perform firmware upgrades and patch management.

2. Project Deployment

·        Conduct site survey and technical assessment.

·        Prepare:

o   Method of Procedure (MOP)

o   Network diagram (HLD/LLD)

o   IP addressing plan

·        Execute installation according to project timeline.

·        Perform UAT and handover documentation.

·        Coordinate with contractors for rack, power, and cooling readiness.

3. Troubleshooting & Maintenance

·        Diagnose network issues (Layer 1–7).

·        Perform root cause analysis (RCA).

·        Provide on-site and remote support under SLA.

·        Handle preventive maintenance and health checks.

·        Support after-office-hour maintenance when required.

4. Structured Cabling & Infrastructure

·        Supervise UTP Cat6/Cat6A & Fiber installation.

·        Validate Fluke test results.

·        Interpret OTDR results for fiber backbone.

·        Ensure compliance with TIA/EIA standards.

5. Vendor & Technology Exposure

Experience or familiarity with technologies from:

·        Cisco Systems

·        Fortinet

·        Huawei Technologies

·        HP Aruba

·        Ubiquiti Inc.

Qualifications

·        Diploma or Degree in:

o   Computer Engineering

o   Network Engineering

o   IT / Telecommunications

·        2–5 years experience in networking field.

·        Fresh graduates with CCNA knowledge may apply (Junior level).

Certifications (Preferred)

·        CCNA / CCNP

·        NSE (Fortinet)

Job summary

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Tank Farm Assistant to support tank farm operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures the safe handling, storage, and transfer of food-grade liquids in compliance with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards, while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily tank farm operations involving receiving, storing, transferring, blending and dispatching of liquid materials in accordance with approved SOPs and food safety requirements.

• Monitor and record tank levels, temperatures, and pressures to ensure product integrity.

• Conduct sampling, labeling, and documentation in compliance with QA and traceability requirements.

• Ensure proper cleaning, sanitisation, and housekeeping of tanks, pipelines, pumps, and surrounding areas.

• Adhere strictly to GMP, HACCP, Halal, and ISO/FSSC 22000 requirements at all times.

• Support audits, inspections, and corrective actions related to food safety and quality.

• Coordinate closely with Production, QA, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams.

• Report immediately any contamination risk, spillage, deviation, or equipment malfunction.

• Comply with all safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures.

 Requirements:

• Minimum SPM / Certificate; technical or food-related qualification is an advantage.

• Prior experience in food manufacturing, oil handling, or tank farm operations is preferred.

• Basic understanding of GMP, food hygiene, and safety practices.

• Physically fit and comfortable working in similar industry environment.

• Willing to work on weekends, and public holidays when required.

• Good discipline, teamwork, and attention to cleanliness and detail.

• Good verbal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
