Job Description:
1. Supervise and coordinate daily inventory control activities to ensure smooth and accurate material flow.
2. Monitor inventory levels and stock movements to ensure timely availability of materials to support production and customer requirements.
3. Monitor all material and inventory transactions within assigned areas and ensure transactions are accurately and timely recorded in ERP/MRP and applicable customer systems.
4. Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely closure of inventory variances.
5. Investigate inventory discrepancies, transaction errors, and abnormal material movements; identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
6. Analyze inventory data including inventory accuracy, aging, inventory turns, Days on Hand (DOH), slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete (E&O) materials.
7. Prepare regular inventory reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and KPI reporting for management review.
8. Monitor material consumption and identify abnormal usage, shortages, excess inventory, and potential inventory risks.
9. Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Production, Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Finance, and other support functions to resolve inventory and material-related issues.
10. Support the management and disposition of excess, obsolete, aging, and customer-specific inventory.
11. Support material liability analysis resulting from customer demand changes, order cancellations, engineering changes, and product transitions.
12. Ensure proper inventory controls including FIFO/FEFO, lot control, material traceability, shelf-life management, and material segregation.
13. Support Finance in inventory reconciliation, inventory adjustments, month-end/year-end closing, and physical inventory activities.
14. Perform inventory transactions and reporting in customer systems when required and ensure alignment between internal and customer inventory records.
15. Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of materials management and inventory control systems, processes, and procedures.
16. Recommend process and system improvements to eliminate or significantly reduce recurring inventory inaccuracies and transaction errors.
17. Support internal, external, financial, and customer audits related to inventory management and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
18. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, operational efficiency, and working capital performance.
19. Maintain accurate inventory records, reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements.
20. Work closely with departmental supervisors and relevant stakeholders to ensure effective inventory control across plant operations.
Job Specification:
· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline.
· Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Inventory Control, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Planning, Warehouse, or related functions.
· Good knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventory, and material management.
· Good understanding of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing material transactions. Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems preferably SAP, BOM structures, FIFO/FEFO, lot control, and material traceability.
· Proficient in English language, both written and spoken
