Farm Technical Assistant (Engineering / Agriculture)

About the Role

We are looking for a practical and technically minded Farm Technical Assistant (Engineering / Agriculture) to join our team at Egrow Crop Sdn Bhd in Marudi, Sarawak.

This position is suitable for fresh graduates and junior candidates who are interested in both engineering and agriculture.

You do not need extensive farm experience. Training will be provided in farm operations, pineapple production, machinery, irrigation systems, farm procedures and our digital Farm OS.

We are looking for someone who likes to understand how things work, identify problems and find practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily farm operations and field activities.

• Check and monitor pumps, irrigation systems, machinery and farm equipment.

• Perform basic equipment inspections and troubleshooting.

• Identify abnormal conditions and report problems promptly.

• Follow farm SOPs and ensure assigned tasks are completed correctly.

• Assist with equipment cleaning, basic maintenance and preventive maintenance.

• Maintain accurate records of farm activities, equipment checks and maintenance.

• Use our digital Farm OS for daily task and operational records.

• Work with farm workers and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Assist with the installation, testing and operation of new farm equipment when required.

• Learn and apply pineapple farming practices.

• Escalate major technical issues to management or external technicians with clear information.

What We Are Looking For

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Agriculture or a related field.

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on farm position.

The successful candidate must be willing to spend significant time in the field, work outdoors and learn practical farm operations.
