#1. Van Gogh Alive

You don’t have to go all the way to Amsterdam to see Van Gogh anymore. Currently happening right now at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, immerse yourself in the life of renowned artist, Vincent Van Gogh, with the Van Gogh Alive exhibition. 

Happening until March 2023, the Van Gogh Alive exhibition is an immersive and interactive art experience dedicated to presenting Van Gogh’s arts in a way it has never been presented before. See and interact with over 3,000 of his iconic works, including The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Bedroom in Arles through floor to ceiling projections, interactive set pieces and AI-powered technology.

#2. The World of DC Exhibition

Ever wonder how the Batmobile looks up close? Thinking of paying a visit to the Superman statue in Metropolis? Well, you won’t have to go far for that. 

Fans of the DC movie universe will be thrilled to learn that the iconic world of DC is currently being exhibited in Malaysia. Head on over to the Tropicana Gardens Mall in Kota Damansara for a chance to meet with some of DC’s most iconic superheroes and supervillains, visit iconic scenes from the movies through life-sized exhibitions and participate in interactive experiences including motion-sensing games, video projections and original sound effects.

The gritty underworld of Gotham, skyscrapers of Metropolis and enchanting Themyscira are only a train ride away. Here are the full details of the exhibition:

#3. The World of Tim Burton

Who doesn’t know Tim Burton? The famed director and producer has been a mastermind to many childhood classics including Frankenweenie, Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands. Known for his gothic fantasy and macabre horror, his works have captivated audiences for decades. And now, you get to see all of it in person. 

Taking place from 21 March until 30 July 2023, The World of Tim Burton exhibition is bringing over numerous artworks across Burton’s professional lifespan. See his visions displayed in sketches, paintings, drawings, photographs and puppets as well as life-sized sculptures.

#4. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Total Concentration Exhibition

Are you a fan of the popular anime series, Demon Slayer? Great news! The Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Total Concentration Exhibition is coming to Malaysia.

Taking place at Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 18 February to 18 May 2023, see artworks and props from the series, including a 1:1 replica of the Nichirin Sword, a closer look at the Demon Slayer Corps uniform and members, a 9-metre screen showing the infamous battle of Mount Natagumo from the show and more! You can also get a limited edition Demon Slayer Corps certificate when you participate in interactive games.

#5. Dream of the Day

Looking for something closer to home? Dream of the Day is an art exhibition featuring works from a global selection of artists. 

Taking place at ILHAM Gallery, which is just a short 2-minute walk from the Ampang Park LRT station, the exhibition will feature works from over 39 artists hailing from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Egypt, and Malaysia. Best of all, it’s free!
