Asia Metropolitan University (AMU) is offering an RM75,000 bursary scholarship for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme to students who register for the September 2018 intake at their Johor Bahru campus.

This is in line with their initiative to play a part in fulfilling the dreams and ambitions of qualified students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Their tuition fees are set at RM300,000 — which means the new total after the RM75,000 scholarship will be RM225,000 for a 5-year Medicine Degree! What's more, if you apply for a full PTPTN loan worth RM150,000, the amount you pay will just be RM25,000 each year, making it one of the most affordable medicine programmes in town.

Not only that, you can be assured that you will get quality education as AMU’s MBBS is recognised by both the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Malaysia Medical Council (MMC), making it a fully accredited programme.

What you need to know

Scholarships will be awarded to students who fulfil the following requirements:

• Only applicable to Malaysian students
• Open to SPTM / A-Level / Matriculation / Foundation / UEC graduates
• Must not have started MBBS in any university
• Meet the MBBS entry requirements of 5Bs in SPM (or equivalent) and BBB, ABC or AAC in 3 STPM subjects (or equivalent)
• Applicable for September 2018 intake only
