Research Methodology

Students are required to pass the following modules (6 credit hours) in the first year of their candidature:
Year 1
- Research Method for Social Science (Core Module)
- Qualitative Research Methods / Quantitative Research Methods

Entry Requirements
Fulfilling one of the requirements listed below:
- Bachelor's Degree (Tier 1)
- A Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in the relevant field, as accepted by the HEP's Senate;
- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with at least CGPA of 2.50 in the relevant field and has not achieved CGPA 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment;
- Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) or equivalent with CGPA of less than 2.50 in the relevant field and a minimum of five (5) years working experience in the relevant field;
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
AND Pass an interview OR submission of a portfolio determined by the HEP as required.

- Any of the condition of the above would require student’s research proposal to be approved.
