Course Structure
Components of the programme:
- The programme is semester-based and covers understanding of the principles in a wide range of Biomedical Disciplines, including Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Immunology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Bacteriology, Virology & Mycology, Biostatistics, Forensic Science, Behavioural Science, Bioinstrumentation, Bioethics, Bioregulation and Biosafety, Biomedical Diagnostics, Transfusion Science and Blood Banking, Public Health Research Project and Industrial Training.
Assessment:
- Formative and summative assessments including research projects and industrial training.
Entry Requirements
- A Level: Minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects:
- Biology
- Physics/Mathematics
- Chemistry
- STPM: Pass STPM programme or equivalent qualification minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:
- Biology
- Physics/Mathematics
- Chemistry
- AIMST Foundation in Science/Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-University Programme in the related field: Pass with minimum GPA of 2.33 in TWO of the following subjects:
- Biology
- Physics/Mathematics
- Chemistry
- UNSW Foundation MUFY/CIMP/SAM/CPU/NSW/HSC: Grade C, C, C in 3 subjects including Biology
- Diploma in a related field (Health Sciences):
- Recognised Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field OR
- Recognised Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.75 in the related field and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the related field.
- Degree or equivalent in the related field: Pass (minimum 50%) or Grade C.
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Pass with a minimum score of 24 points
- Other qualifications: To be referred to Kementerian Pengajian Tinggi (KPT)
