TAR UMT Graduate Tops Global ACCA Examination

Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) has once again showcased their commitment to excellence in education with the remarkable achievement of their graduate, Selena Lee Si Yun.
Selena, who graduated with a Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting and Finance at TAR UMT, has recently been recognised for scoring the highest mark in the world in ACCA’s Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) paper for the March 2024 examination.
This exceptional accomplishment follows her earlier success in September 2023, where she was awarded the title of First in Malaysia for the Advanced Taxation (ATX) paper. The success and academic prowess demonstrated by Selena underscores the comprehensive academic standards and curriculum at TAR UMT.
In her own words, Selena shared her gratitude for her achievements, stating, “I am so happy with my achievement, more so because of my deep interest and my aim to gain a qualification from ACCA. I owe it to TAR UMT, especially my lecturers for helping me find and build my interest in getting an ACCA qualification. Their constant emphasis on practical learning and real-world applications of accounting concepts sparked my curiosity and motivated me to pursue ACCA as a pathway to a successful career in accounting.”
