What is the Student Assessment Centre (SAC)?

You may check whether you are shortlisted for SAC from 11 May 2026, 2pm onwards.
The SAC is scheduled for 19 – 21 May 2026 and will be held at various interview zones.
What is a JPA “Convertible Loan”?
All JPA 2026 scholarships are in the form of convertible loans (pinjaman boleh ubah). What this means is that the scholarship is essentially a loan that can be converted to a full or partial scholarship.
This year, the convertible loan will be based on academic merit (i.e. Pinjaman Boleh Ubah Akademik) and/or placement with the government.
Here’s how the new convertible loan model works (for all fields excluding medicine, dentistry and pharmacy):
| Criteria | Loan repayment (%) |
|---|---|
| If you achieve CGPA 3.75 – 4.00 without extension | 5% |
| If you achieve CGPA 3.50 – 3.74 without extension | 10% |
| If you achieve CGPA 3.00 – 3.49, without extension | 15% |
| If you achieve above CGPA 3.00 with extension | 20% |
| If you achieve below CGPA 3.00 or fail your degree | 100% |
| AND/OR | |
| Appointed to a role in the civil service (in line with qualifications) | Exempted from repayment of the remaining loan balance |
For medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, you will only be exempted from repayment if you fully complete your programme without any extensions and fulfil a specified period of service in the public sector:
- Medicine: 5 years
- Dentistry: 3 years
- Pharmacy: 3 years
