Entry Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in education field (Level 6, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or its equivalent as accepted by the HEP Senate;
- A Bachelor’s degree in education field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment;
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 must undergo ***prerequisite courses;
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment AND must undergo ***prerequisite courses;
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements
Prerequisites:
- The proposed pre-requisite courses for MEd for those whose Masters are not from the Education field. The four Education Foundation Courses identified in the Programme Standards and currently offered under BEDU are as follows:
- EED224/03 Educational Psychology
- EED225/03 Sociology in Education
- EED226/03 The History of Education in Malaysia
- EED227/03 Philosophy of Education
APEL Entry:
- The candidate should be:
- The applicant shall be 30 years of age in the year of application with at least STPM/Diploma/equivalent qualifications and must possess relevant work experience
- Pass the APEL.A assessment for Master’s Degree level
