Entry Requirements
- STPM: Science Stream with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in 1 Mathematics subject and 1 Science/ICT subject OR Arts Stream with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects AND a credit in:
- a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent, OR
- b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level/equivalent^
- STAM: Minimum grade of Jayyid in any 2 subjects AND a credit in:
- a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent, OR
- b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level/equivalent^
- A Level: Grade D in 1 Mathematics subject and 1 Science/ICT subject OR 2 Grade D AND a credit in:

- CPU: An average of 70% in 1 Mathematics, 1 Science/ICT subject and 4 other subjects OR An average of 70% in 6 subjects AND a credit in:

- b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level/equivalent^
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma:
- Diploma with a minimum of 24 points (excluding bonus point) including Mathematics: Application and Interpretation/ Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches AND 1 Science/IT subject OR
- Diploma with a minimum of 24 points (excluding bonus point) AND a credit in:
- a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent, OR
- b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level/equivalent^
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant field: :
- Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) / equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
- Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.
- Any Diploma in Science and Technology (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of Minimum CGPA of 2.75 AND credit in:
- a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent, OR
- b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level/equivalent. Candidates are required to take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to join this programme.
- Candidates with CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.50 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.
- TVET Diplomas: Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)
- Must be fully accredited by MQA.
- DKM/DLKM/DVM in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
- Candidates will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and may be required to
undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum
structure. - Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect.
- UTAR Foundation/Matriculation/Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning/Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00 for Foundation/Matriculation/equivalent qualification.
- MUST have Either 1 of the following:
- a) Pass in Mathematics subject equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics in the Foundation/Matriculation or other equivalent qualification, OR
- b) A credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent, OR
- c) A credit in Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subject at SPM level/equivalent^
- *For category (c), students must pass a Mathematics enhancement course relevant to Computer Science before they could proceed to take core courses that requires Mathematics as pre-requisite in this programme

Malaysian applicants with STPM/UEC/qualifications not conducted fully in English must have a Credit in English language at;
- SPM/O-Level: Grade C
- UEC English: Grade B
- MUET: Band 3
- IELTS: Band 5.0
- TOEFL: 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials),PTE 47
- Cambridge English: 154/100(OET)
- ELS CIEP: Level 107 (NOT applicable for A-Level/SAM/CPU or entry qualifications conducted fully in English, BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level /equivalent).
Note:
- Those who do not meet the above English language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass at the English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme.
