Course Highlights
- Accredited by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
- Gain a thorough understanding of every stage of the construction and development process, from the project brief issued, to the construction, completion, occupation and maintenance of the facilities to meet the objective of 'value for money'
- In addition to academic study, you will complete a minimum of six months of practical training in a quantity surveying firm or construction-related company

Entry Requirements
- STPM:
- 1. Minimum 3 Passes of minimum Grade C (2.00) including Mathematics
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- A Level:
- 1. Minimum 3 Passes of minimum Grade D including Mathematics / Applied Mathematics
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- UEC:
- 1. Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and Bahasa Malaysia / English
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-Level Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris for applicants without Grade B in UEC Bahasa Malaysia / English**
- SAM:
- 1. Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 relevant subjects including Mathematics / Applied Mathematics 2
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- CPU:
- 1. Minimum 70% in 2 relevant subjects and 4 other subjects including Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma:
- 1. Diploma with a minimum of 24 points (excluding bonus points) and obtained a minimum of 4 points for in Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation/ Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- UTAR Foundation in Arts:
- 1. Minimum GCPA of 2.50 with minimum passes in 2 relevant subjects including Mathematics
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- UTAR Foundation in Science:
- 1. Minimum GCPA of 2.50
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- Matriculation/Foundation qualification in the relevant field from other Institutions of Higher Learning recognised by Malaysian Government:
- 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.50
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant field:
- 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.67 or not less than 60% overall marks. For applicants with a CGPA or overall marks less than 2.67 or 60%, respectively, their working experiences can be taken into consideration when assessing their applications. However, only working experience in Quantity Surveying scope of work is acceptable. Students with diploma in quantity surveying qualifications from a programme accredited by BQSM may be considered as described below:
- Overall CGPA ≥ 2.67 (≥60%): No working experience required
- Overall CGPA 2.33 – 2.66 (55-59%): 2 Years working experience
- Overall CGPA: 2.00 – 2.32 (50-54%): 3 Years working experience
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.67 or not less than 60% overall marks. For applicants with a CGPA or overall marks less than 2.67 or 60%, respectively, their working experiences can be taken into consideration when assessing their applications. However, only working experience in Quantity Surveying scope of work is acceptable. Students with diploma in quantity surveying qualifications from a programme accredited by BQSM may be considered as described below:
- Quantity Surveying Diploma qualifications not accredited by BQSM/Diploma qualifications other than Quantity Surveying (Quantity Surveying related programmes such as engineering, building, construction management, building services and architecture)/:
- 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.67 or not less than 60% overall marks (must undergo the full duration of the programme in the bachelor's degree programme)
- 2. Credit in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu / Bahasa Inggeris**
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government as equivalent to the above requirements**
Notes:
- **Must have credits in SPM/O-level Mathematics AND Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Inggeris as per BQSM requirements.For candidates (local and/or international students) having SPM/O-Level qualification must fulfil the credit requirement of SPM/O-Level Mathematics and Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Inggeris. However, for international student posessing qualification equivalent to SPM/O-Level must have at least a pass in Mathematics or equivalent.
Malaysian Applicants
- STPM/UEC/qualfications not conducted fully in English: Credit in English language at SPM level OR
- O-Level English: Grade C OR
- UEC English: Grade B OR
- MUET Band: 3.5 OR
- IELTS Band: 5.0 OR
- TOEFL: 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47 OR
- Cambridge English 154/100(OET) / ELS CIEP Level 107 / HEET 6 (NOT applicable for A-Level/SAM/CPU or entry qualifications conducted fully in English BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent
- Those who do not meet the above English language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the Intensive English Programme and pass CEFR B2 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme
