  • The LAM guideline of staff to student ratio of 1:15 in design studios are strictly adhered to, while for other studio based subjects such as Drawing I and II, a ratio of 1:20 is applied

Entry Requirements

  • STPM: 2 Passes of Grade C including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)
  • A Level: 2 Passes of minimum Grade D including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)
  • Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Grade B in 5 relevant subjects including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)
  • South Australian Matriculation (SAM): Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)
  • Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Average of 70% in 2 subjects (and 4 other subjects) including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)
  • Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman including a credit in SPM Pendidikan Seni/equivalent* (and Mathematics/equivalent^)

  • Note: The credit requirement for Mathematics at SPM Level can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics subject with equivalent/higher achievement.
  • *Those without Credit in SPM (Pendidikan Seni) subject to submit Portfolio: Submit 3 pieces of A3 size drawings in hardcopies, in any medium (pencil, water colour, etc) together with the application documents
  • The submission to include a CD or any digital media consisting of 8-10 minutes video recording of the applicant in the stage of drawing one of the three drawings; the video should capture the face of the applicant during the drawings with close-up shots of the drawing. In the video, the applicant should explain briefly the idea/meaning of the drawing and why he/she chooses architecture. The panels reserve the right to call the applicant for an interview should there be any query.
