STPM (Art Stream):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtained at least Grade B- in ONE (1) of the following subject at STPM Level
  - Syariah
  - Usuluddin
  - Tahfiz Al-Quran
- Obtained at least Grade B- in any ONE (1) subject at the STPM level that has not yet been counted.
Matriculation / Foundation (Science and Art Stream):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtained at least Grade B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Foundation in Islamic Studies (University Malaya)
STAM :
- Malaysian Citizen
- Obtained at least the grade of Jayyid Jiddan at Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)
- Obtain at least a grade of Jayyid in TWO (2) subjects at the STAM level
Diploma / Equivalent :
- Malaysian citizen
- Possesses a Diploma in the field of Islamic Studies recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University Malaya, with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Diploma level
UM SATU Foundation:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Foundation SATU UM
STPM (not from the current year):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtained at least a Grade B- in the Bahasa Arab subject at STPM level
- Obtain at least a grade of B- in ONE (1) subjects at the STPM;
Matriculation/Foundation (not from the current year):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Foundation in Islamic Studies (University Malaya);

English Requirements

Obtain at least BAND 3.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for examinations beginning in Session 1 of 2021; the validity period is five years from the date the test results are issued
