- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.50
- Obtain a minimum of grade A- in ONE (1) subjects AND a Grade B+ in TWO (2) subjects: Biology, Chemistry and (Physics/Additional Mathematics/Mathematics)
- Stream: Science stream
- Matriculation / Foundation:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.50
- Obtain a minimum of grade A- in ONE (1) subjects AND a Grade B+ in TWO (2) subjects: Biology, Chemistry and ( Physics/Mathematics)
- Obtain a minimum of grade A- in these FIVE (5) subjects at the SPM level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics and English Language
- Stream: Art and Science stream
- Diploma / Equivalent (UPU):
- Malaysian citizen
- Possess a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
- Obtain a minimum of grade B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Diploma level/Equivalent

- Possess a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) with a minimum CGPA of 3.50

- Possess a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a Public University/IPTA IPTS or other qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University of Malaya with a minimum CGPA of 3.50
- Obtain a minimum of grade B- in TWO (2) subjects at the Diploma level/Equivalent
- Obtained at least a Grade B in FOUR (4) subject at the SPM level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics and English Language
- UM SATU Foundation:

- GCE A-Level:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a recognized GCE A-Level qualification

- International Baccalaureate (IB):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum score of 34 points
- Obtained at least Grade 5 (HL) or Grade 6 (SL) in the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics
- AUSMAT:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum score of 85 in the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR)
- Obtained a minimum of ONE (1) Grade A and TWO (2) Grade B in any THREE (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, (Physics or Mathematics)
- Bachelor's Degree Programme (SATU):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtained a minimum CGPA of 3.70 at the Bachelor's degree level in Science or Applied Science from any institution recognized by the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC)
- Obtain a minimum of Band 3.0 in MUET for examinations starting from Session 1 of the year 2021, or Band 3.0 for examinations up to the year 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application
- Applicants without MUET but with the following results may be considered for conditional admission, provided they fulfil MUET requirement within ONE (1) academic session:
- Obtain at least Band 4.5 (Academic) in IELTS; or
- Obtain a minimum score of 39 in TOEFL iBT (Centre-based)
