Entry Requirements

Local Student

  • STPM (or any equivalent qualification): Minimum Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects; and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English; OR
  • STAM: Minimum grade of Jayyid; and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English; OR
  • Matriculation/Foundation (or any equivalent qualification): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00, and pass SPM (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English; OR
  • Any qualification equivalent to Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance, Information Technology* or related field (Level 4, MQF): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 OR
  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM): Minimum CGPA of 2.50 and the programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or others Accreditation bodies that had been recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate OR
  • DKM/DLKM/DVM: Minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in a related field. The programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or others Accreditation bodies that had been recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.

Note: The credit requirement for Mathematics and pass in English at SPM level for candidate in category (i), (ii) and (iii) can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with equivalent/higher achievement.

International Student

  • A-Level: Minimum Grade D in any 2 subjects, and pass in Mathematics and English at O level, or any equivalent qualification.
  • Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): With at least 24 points.

Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:

  • It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin.
  • It can be used as an entry qualification for a bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
  • International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 6.0 for IELTS OR its equivalent.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COMPETENCY AS ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS BY MOHE

  • International Students who wish to follow a course of study at Malaysia in Diploma, Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral Degree must meet the requirements of competence in English Language as specified by Institute Higher Learning (IHL) or in the MQA programme standard, EXCEPT:
    – International students who come from a country that use English as official language, OR
    – International students who use qualification from institutions that fully use English as the language of instruction and intended to pursue higher education in Malaysia
  • International Students who are not meet the requirements of competence in English Language, IHL can consider giving Conditional Offer (Tawaran Bersyarat) as below:
    – International students are allowed to attend an internal English preparatory course at IHL without maximum period of time, but student still adhered to the condition set by the Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia; AND
    – International student who attends an internal English preparatory course at IHL need to sit for MUET or any examination that is equal to The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) in order meet the English Language competency.
