Entry Requirements

  • Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any two (2) subjects*; OR
  • Pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with at least Grade Jayyid*; OR
  • Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00; OR
  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) with minimum CGPA 2.50 – subject to Senate/Academic Board approval and MUST attend bridging courses; OR
  • Pass DKM / DLKM / DVM with at least CGPA 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of relevant work experience, and MUST attend bridging courses; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Entry requirements for admission into the Bachelor’s program (level 6, MQF) through APEL A. Applicants must be/have:

  • A Malaysian citizen; and
  • More than 21 years of age in the year of application; and
  • Relevant work experience / prior experiential learning; and
  • Pass the APEL Assessment.

Notes :

  • A pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level (or equivalent) is required, with the following conditions:
    • Can be waived if higher qualifications contain Mathematics and English with equivalent/higher achievement.
    • Malaysian students who used English as the medium of instruction in their previous study OR achieved at least Band 2 in MUET (or equivalent) are exempted from the English requirement.
    • Those without a pass in Mathematics and/or English at SPM level (or equivalent) may be admitted but must attend special enhancement courses (SPM equivalent, remedial in nature). These must be passed before progressing to related core courses taught in English.
  • Exempted from University English Courses if:
    • Distinction in SPM / SPMV English; OR
    • MUET Band 4, 5, or 6; OR
    • Pass in English course at a previous institution.
  • Required to take English Preparatory 2 if:
    • Credit in SPM / SPMV English; OR
    • MUET Band 1, 2, or 3.
  • Required to take BOTH English Preparatory 1 & 2 if:
    • a) No credit in SPM / SPMV English.
