Entry Requirements
- STPM: Grade C in 2 relevant subjects listed in Schedule A
- A Level: Grade D in 2 relevant subjects listed in Schedule A
- UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects listed in Schedule A
- Other IHL: Foundation /Diploma accredited by MQA
- TAR UMT: Foundation in Arts (Track A) OR Diploma accredited by MQA
Schedule A
- STPM Qualification: Geografi, Ekonomi, Perakaunan, Mathematics (M), Mathematics (T), Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Pengajian Perniagaan, Pengajian Am, Bahasa Melayu, Sejarah and any other relevant technical subjects.
- A-Level Qualification: Applied Information and Communication Technology, Computer Science, Law, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Economics, Accounting, Pure Mathematics, Mathematics, Mathematics-Further/Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing, Business Studies and any other relevant technical subjects.
- UEC Qualification: Malay Language, English Language, Chinese Language, History, Geography, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics (I), Advanced Mathematics (II), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computing and Information Technology, Business Studies, Book Keeping and Accounts and any other relevant technical subjects.
Compulsory subjects:
- STPM, A Level, UEC and Other IHL qualifications must include SPM Credit/O Level Grade C/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject#
- STPM, A Level, UEC and Other IHL qualifications must include SPM Pass/O Level Grade E/UEC Grade C in English Language**
# Grade B and above in General Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the Mathematics requirement for applicants with a pass in SPM/Grade D or Grade E (pass) in O Level/Grade C in UEC in the required Mathematics subject.
** Grade C and above in English Language conducted by TAR UMT is accepted as having fulfilled the English Language requirement for applicants who fail English Language at SPM/O Level/UEC.
Notes:
- a) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of their Bachelor Degree.
- b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes.
- c) Equivalent qualifications or qualifications from other Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- d) Subject to the Ministry of Higher Education’s latest requirements.
