Entry Requirements
- AUSMAT (SACEi): Min. ATAR 55
- A Level: Min. DD
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Min. average of 55% in 6 subjects
- Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM): Min. Grade C in at least 2 subjects
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Pass with minimum 5Bs, including Mathematics or Advanced Mathematics or Adv. Mathematics 1 or 2
(Candidates without a Grade ‘B’ in UEC subjects above may be admitted if the candidate has a credit in Mathematics at SPM or equivalent) - Foundation: Pass Foundation with CGPA 2.0
- Diploma in Information Technology (DIT): Taylor's Diploma in IT with min. CGPA 2.50 (candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to thorough rigorous assessment) (Pre-requisite of Credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent is not required)
- International Baccalaureate (IB): Min. 24 points in 6 subjects
- Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY): Overall 50%
Other Qualifications
- Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 but more than 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment; (Pre-requisite of Credit in Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent is not required)
- Any other Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75. Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but more than 2.50 can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment;
- Pass High School Certificate from New South Wales, Australia with an average of 60%
- Pass ANY Foundation with min CGPA 2.0 from other institutions recognised by the Malaysian Government
- Pass Matriculation programs recognised by the Ministry of Education Malaysia in the relevant field with min CGPA 2.00
- Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval;
- Any other qualifications are recognised as equivalent by the Malaysia Government.
- Application via APEL A is allowed.
Prerequisites
- SPM/O-Level with Pre-University/Foundation: Pass SPM/O-level or equivalent with 5 credits (including Mathematics) for entry with Pre-U/Foundation qualification (Except for UEC).
- SPM/O-Level with Diploma: Pass SPM/O-level or equivalent with 3 credits (including Mathematics) for entry with Diploma qualification.
Notes:
- Candidates without a credit in mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the STPM (Pre-U) / Matriculation / Foundation / Diploma in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Information Technology or Information System or Science and Technology or Business Studies programme contains subjects in mathematics that are equivalent or higher to mathematics at SPM level.
- Candidates without a credit in Mathematics at SPM level/equivalent or without a subject in Mathematics at a higher level, need to take and pass the reinforcement Mathematics subject that is equivalent to the SPM level. The reinforcement Mathematics subject must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with unconditional offer
