About IMU University

IMU University was established in 1992 and is a fully private university with a dedicated focus on medicine, health sciences and complementary medicine programmes. The school has an international reputation and provides high standards of medical education for students.

The Technology Park campus (LiT Block), located just 2km away from the main campus, offers a range of programmes including Foundation in Arts, Foundation in Science, Bachelor in Digital Health (Hons), Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology, Bachelor of Business Administration, and more.

A key feature of IMU University is its strong global network of more than 42 partner institutions of higher learning around the world (e.g. Australia, New Zealand, US, UK). This provides students with both education and training opportunities overseas through credit transfer and twinning programmes.

IMU University also integrates education with research and healthcare practice, exposing students to research projects with the established IMU Institute for Research, Development & Innovation (IRDI) throughout their degree. Partnerships with leading hospitals in Malaysia also allow staff and students to experience real-life clinical work.

IMU University Ranking & Reputation

IMU University’s research laboratory received accreditation in 2014 and was officially under the International Standard ISO/IEC. IMU University is rated 'Berdaya Saing (Competitive)' in the latest SETARA rating. In 2017, it was also the first and only private Malaysian medical university to receive the self-accreditation status from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).

Campus Location

IMU’s Technology Park campus is located in Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil. It is only 15 minutes away from the city centre and is within close proximity to many amenities such as cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, convenience stores and major shopping malls including Sunway Pyramid, The Mines and IOI Mall.

The campus is just a short distance away from the Bukit Jalil LRT station. It’s also easily accessible via buses and other forms of transportation.

IMU also has a main campus located in the same area. You can take the shuttle buses provided to travel between these 2 campuses.
