Founded in 2002, Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is a private university that’s wholly owned by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). UniKL specialises in technical education, equipping its graduates with strong technical knowledge and entrepreneurial skills.

Over 130 courses are offered by UniKL, from Foundation and Diploma level to Degree and Postgraduate. While UniKL’s core strength is in their technical programmes, such as Engineering, Automotive and Aviation, it also offers various Business programmes, including Accounting, Finance and Entrepreneurship under their Business School.

UniKL’s City Campus houses four branch institutes — UniKL Malaysian Institute of Information Technology, UniKL Business School, UniKL International College and Institute Research Postgraduate Studies.
The university is located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur city centre on Jalan Sultan Ismail, and is easily accessible via public transport and highways.
Within its vicinity are a wide range of amenities to fulfil your everyday needs, including shops and restaurants. Just a short walk away is the brand new Quill City Mall, a vibrant lifestyle shopping complex that offers an exciting mix of F&B restaurants, retail outlets as well as a cinema!

Accommodation at Universiti Kuala Lumpur
Most of UniKL’s campuses have on-campus accommodation. Apartments are well-equipped with furniture and fittings, with 4 – 6 students per apartment. Basic facilities are included, such as beds, wardrobes, tables and kitchen cabinets, as well as 24-hour security.
While UniKL strives to house all students on-campus for at least one year, quality off-campus accommodation is also available at reasonable rates.
