The Times Higher Education has released its World University Rankings 2019, comparing 1,258 institutions from more than 80 countries across the globe.
The prestigious University of Oxford in the United Kingdom tops the list for the 3rd consecutive year, surpassing reputable institutions such as Stanford and Harvard University.
Meanwhile, more Malaysian institutions have gained recognition as 11 of our homegrown universities have made it to the list — an increase from last year’s total of 9. What’s more, Universiti Malaya (UM) has climbed the ranks moving from the 351-400 group to the 301-350 group.

Congratulations to the deserving Malaysian universities that have made it to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019 list!
That being said, university rankings aren’t the only thing you should consider when deciding where to study. You should also ensure that the university you enrol in provides you with the support that you need (which can be personal) and can cater to your budget. Good luck!
