Taylor’s University has strengthened its global standing once again, with 20 subjects ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026, the highest number achieved by any private university in Southeast Asia. This milestone reflects not only the institution’s consistent academic performance, but also the growing excellence of its programmes across multiple disciplines.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluate institutions based on several key indicators, including academic reputation, employer reputation, research impact as well as international research collaboration. Excelling across all these areas in multiple subjects suggests that Taylor’s is not only recognised by academics, but also valued highly among employers and global partners.

Among its strongest showings, Hospitality & Leisure Management continues to stand out, placing in the Top 30 globally and solidifying Taylor’s position as a regional leader in this field. Art & Design and Marketing are both ranked within the Top 100 worldwide, while Business & Management Studies is placed in the Top 150, highlighting the university’s strength in both creative and business-related disciplines.

This year also marks an important expansion in Taylor’s academic recognition, with Law, Biological Sciences, and English Language & Literature appearing in the rankings for the first time. Their inclusion represents the university’s ongoing efforts to diversify its offerings and strengthen its presence in new and emerging areas of study.

Beyond these highlights, Taylor’s has achieved rankings across a wide spectrum of subjects, including the fields of Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, Accounting & Finance, Architecture, Economics, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, Medicine, and Education. This wide representation of academic fields reflects a well-rounded education ecosystem that caters to a variety of student interests and career pathways.

Professor Barry Winn, Vice-Chancellor and President of Taylor’s University, commented on the exemplary rankings, “Recognition across multiple subjects reflects the breadth and depth of academic excellence at Taylor’s University. We remain committed to delivering education that is both academically rigorous and relevant to the challenges shaping the future. This collective strength is also reflected in Taylor’s University being ranked 27th in Asia.”

Ultimately, Taylor’s University’s latest achievements highlight more than just rankings. They signal a continued commitment to evolving its programmes, strengthening industry connections, and ensuring that students graduate with the adaptability and global perspective that is needed in today’s rapidly changing landscape.
