Great news! The British Council is offering scholarships worth up to RM500,000 to eligible Malaysian students. With the GREAT Scholarships 2022, you can choose to further your postgraduate studies at selected institutions in the UK.

The scholarship is a joint fund from the UK government’s GREAT Britain Campaign, the British Council and participating UK institutions. Aimed towards graduates enrolling in the autumn of 2022, the scholarship will be a great help to those looking for financial aid.

What you need to know

The scholarships are only offered to students seeking to pursue a 1-year taught postgraduate programme in autumn of 2022 at selected UK institutions. The selected institutions are:

On top of that, there are also 3 justice and law scholarships available at the following institutions:

Interested students must be a citizen of Malaysia, and have already received an offer of entry from any of the universities mentioned above at the time of application. They must also satisfy all entry requirements for both the chosen course and the English language proficiency.

How to apply

Application for this scholarship must be made directly to the institutions after you have received your offer letter. As such, the application instructions and deadlines differ between universities. You can read more about that here.

Should you be successful in your application, the scholarship funding will be issued to you after your registration.
