Entry Requirements
- STPM: A minimum of Grade C in 2 subjects
- A Level: A minimum of Grade D in 2 relevant subjects
- UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
- SAM: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjectsAustralian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects
- CPU: An average of 70% in 6 subjects
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Diploma with a minimum of 24 points (excluding bonus points)
- TVET Diplomas: Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)
- 1. Must be fully accredited by MQA
- 2. At least CGPA of 2.50 or CGPA of 2.00 and above but less than 2.50 with at least 2 years work experience in relevant field, subject to Senate / Academic Board’s approval
- 3. Applicants will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure
- 4. Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect
- UTAR Foundation in Science,Foundation in Science from other Institutions of Higher Learning,Matriculation Certificate (Science stream), Ministry of Education,Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant field:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.00
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government as equivalent to the above requirements
Note:
- **The credit requirement for Mathematics at SPM Level can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics subject with an equivalent / higher achievement
Malaysian applicants with STPM/UEC/qualifications not conducted fully in English must have a
- SPM: Credit in English language OR
- O-Level: Grade C in English OR
- UEC: Grade B in English OR
- MUET: Band 3.5 OR
- IELTS: Band 5.0 OR
- TOEFL: 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47 OR
- Cambridge English 154/100(OET)/ELS CIEP Level 107/HEET 6 (NOT applicable for A-Level/SAM/CPU or entry qualifications conducted fully in English BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent)
- Those who do not meet the above English language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the Intensive English Programme and pass CEFR B2 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme
