- STPM: Minimum GPA of 2.33 in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- A Level: Grade D in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- South Australian Matriculation (SAM): Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU): Average of 70% in 6 subjects including 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Grade B in 5 subjects including 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR): Minimum GPA of 2.33 in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Foundation/Matriculation qualification in the relevant field from other Higher Education Institution: Minimum GPA 2.33 in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education: Minimum GPA 2.33 in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics
- Diploma qualification in the relevant field from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT)/other Higher Education providers:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.75
- If CGPA less than 2.75, a minimum of 36 months working experience in the related field is required
- Other equivalent qualifications with minimum GPA of 2.33 in 2 subjects must be in Biology, Chemistry OR Physics/Mathematics recognised by the Malaysian Government
