Plantation management focuses on the strategic oversight and efficient operation of large-scale agricultural estates specializing in plantation crops like oil palm, rubber, tea, coffee, and cocoa. This discipline encompasses a comprehensive approach to maximize crop yield, quality, and sustainability while optimizing resource use.
The Bachelor of Plantation Technology (Management) with Honours is a specialized degree focused on the science and management of plantation crops. This program combines in-depth knowledge of agricultural practices with advanced management strategies to enhance plantation productivity and sustainability.
Students gain expertise in areas such as crop production, pest and disease management, soil fertility, and the use of modern technologies in plantation management. The curriculum also includes business management, economics, and environmental conservation, preparing graduates for leadership roles in the plantation industry. Practical training and fieldwork are integral components, ensuring that students are well-equipped to address real-world challenges.

Entry Requirements
- STPM: A minimum of Grade C in 2 Science subjects
- A-Level: A minimum of Grade D in 2 Science subjects
- UEC: Grade B in 5 subjects including 2 Science subject
- SAM: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 Science subjects
- CPU: An average of 70% in 6 subjects including 2 Science subjects
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma: Diploma with a minimum of 24 points (excluding bonus points) including 2 Science subjects
- TVET Diplomas: Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) :
1. Must be fully accredited by MQA.
2. A minimum CGPA of 2.50 OR CGPA of 2.00 with at least 2 years working experience in relevant field subject to Senate/ Academic Board’s approval.
3. Applicants will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and may be required to undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure.
4. Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect.
- Foundation in Science, UTAR Matriculation / Foundation in the relevant field from other Institutions of Higher Learning Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant field: Minimum CGPA of 2.00
- Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government
Malaysian applicants with STPM/UEC/qualifications not conducted fully in English must have a

Note:
- Those who do not meet the above English language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the English Enhancement Programme and pass at the English Levels 7 & 8 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme.
International applicants must have a :
- Minimum of IELTS Band 5.0
- MUET Band 3
- TOEFL 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47
- Cambridge English 154/100(OET)
- ELS CIEP Level 107 / equivalent (NOT applicable for entry qualifications conducted fully in English or students from countries with English as official language BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent).
