Recognised by the Financial Planning Associations of Malaysia (FPAM), ACCA, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries (MACS) and Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC)
UTAR has a close relationship with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has significantly included the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into the curricula, allowing you to pursue the CFA Programme and have a chance to take part in CFA talks, workshops, events and competitions
You will be equipped with specialist skills in finance and the ability to design financial management strategies as well as provide top-level financial advice to governments, companies and individuals
Utilise excellent learning facilities, including the most up-to-date Refinitiv Financial Solutions, allowing you to learn how to analyse financial markets, assess economic scenarios and interpret the key news developments that impact the global economy

Entry Requirements

STPM:
- 1. A minimum of Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in any 2 subjects Bachelor of Finance (Honours) (R4/0412/6/0064)(07/31)(A7216)
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent for applicant without Principal Pass in STPM Mathematics**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
STAM:
- 1. A minimum grade of Jayyid
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
A Level:
- 1. A minimum of Grade D in any 2 subjects
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent for applicant without Grade D in A-Level Mathematics**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
UEC:
- 1. Grade B5 in 5 subjects
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent for applicant without Grade B in UEC Mathematics**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
SAM:
- 1. Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 75 and Grade B in 2 subjects
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent for applicant without Grade B in SAM Mathematics**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
CPU:
- 1. A minimum 80% aggregate in 6 subjects
- 2. Credit in Mathematics at SPM level / equivalent for applicant without minimum of 70% in CPU Mathematics**
- 3. Pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma:
- 1. Diploma with an overall of 28 points (excluding bonus points) and obtained a minimum of 4 points for each course
- 2. Credit in Mathematics and pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
UTAR Foundation,Matriculation / Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning / equivalent:
- 1. Minimum CGPA of 2.50
- 2. Credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level / equivalent**
Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance / equivalent qualification (Level 4, MQF) in the relevant field:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.50
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government as equivalent to the above requirements

Note:

**The credit requirement for Mathematics and pass in English at SPM Level can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with equivalent / higher achievement

English Requirements

Malaysian applicants with STPM/UEC/qualifications not conducted fully in English must have a

SPM: Credit in English language OR
O-Level: Grade C in English OR
UEC: Grade B in English OR
MUET: Band 3.5 OR
IELTS: Band 5.0 OR
TOEFL: 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47 OR
Cambridge English 154/100(OET)/ELS CIEP Level 107/HEET 6 (NOT applicable for A-Level/SAM/CPU or entry qualifications conducted fully in English BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent)
Those who do not meet the above English language requirements but obtain a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent are required to take the Intensive English Programme and pass CEFR B2 before joining the Bachelor's degree programme
