Recognised by the Financial Planning Associations of Malaysia (FPAM), ACCA, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Malaysian Association of Company Secretaries (MACS) and Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC)
UTAR has a close relationship with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and has significantly included the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into the curricula, allowing you to pursue the CFA Programme and have a chance to take part in CFA talks, workshops, events and competitions
You will be equipped with specialist skills in finance and the ability to design financial management strategies as well as provide top-level financial advice to governments, companies and individuals
Utilise excellent learning facilities, including the most up-to-date Refinitiv Financial Solutions, allowing you to learn how to analyse financial markets, assess economic scenarios and interpret the key news developments that impact the global economy

Course Structure

Elective I (Choose 1):

Elective II (Choose 1):

STPM:
- Minimum 2 Passes with minimum grade C+ (GP 2.33)
- Credit in SPM Mathematics for applicant without Principal Pass in STPM Mathematics and a Pass in SPM English Language/equivalent*

A Level:
- 2 Passes with minimum grade D in the relevant subjects
- Credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent for applicant without A Level Mathematics of grade D*

UEC:
- Grade B5 in 5 subjects including Mathematics and pass in English Language*
- Credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent for applicant without Grade B in UEC Mathematics*

SAM:
- Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 75 and Grade B in 2 relevant subjects
- Credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent for applicant without Grade B in SAM Mathematics*

CPU:
- Minimum 80% aggregate (in 6 subjects)
- Credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent for applicant without minimum of 70% in CPU Mathematics*

Any qualification equivalent to Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance or related field (Level 4, MQF)

Note:
- All MUST have a minimum CGPA of 2.50, a credit in SPM Mathematics/equivalent and a pass in English*
- * credit requirement for Mathematics and pass in English at SPM Level can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and English subjects with equivalent/higher achievement.
