Course Highlights

Develop into a proficient English language professional equipped with strong communicative competence and pedagogical expertise
Gain the necessary communicative skills and knowledge of the language to communicate proficiently and competently, as well as be exposed to the general principles of teaching and learning of English as a second language
Become familliar with the use of the latest technology, approaches and techniques in English language teaching and be equipped with the necessary skills to become effective, trained and competent English language educators
Upon completion, you will be prepared to be an effective, professionally trained educator capable of contributing to the education sector in both local and international contexts

Course Structure

STPM: Minimum 2 Principal Passes (and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
A Level: Minimum 2 Passes of minimum Grade D in the relevant subjects (and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects (and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
SAM: Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 relevant subjects (and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
CPU: Average of 70% in 2 relevant subjects (and 4 other subjects) (and credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
UTAR Foundation:
- Foundation in Arts
- Foundation in Science
Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning
Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education
Diploma, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UMT)
Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government; AND
All the above qualifications MUST have a credit in English at SPM or its equivalent)
