Notes:

  • **The credit in Chinese at SPM level can be waived should the grade obtained at STPM level or its equivalent is higher OR from one of the following "Recognised Test on Chinese Proficiency":
    • "O" Level Chinese Language: Credit
    • UEC Chinese Language: Credit
    • STPM Chinese Language: Pass
    • China’s New Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (New HSK) / New Chinese Proficiency Test (since 2010): Level 5 (minimum 195 marks or above out of 300 marks)
    • Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) (since 2013): Level 4
  • Malaysian applicants must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent.
  • International applicants must have:
    • Minimum of IELTS Band 5.0
    • MUET Band 3.5
    • TOEFL 40(iBT)/7.5(Essentials) / PTE 47
    • Cambridge English 154/100(OET)
    • ELS CIEP Level 107 / equivalent (NOT applicable for entry qualifications conducted fully in English or students from countries with English as official language BUT must have a pass in English language at SPM level / equivalent).
