Overview

JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification is a well-established programme developed by UNITEN in collaboration with Darul Quran, Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (JAKIM). The Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) has been signed between UNITEN and Darul Quran, JAKIM, which was officiated by YB Dato' Dr. Masyitah Haji Ibrahim, the then Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.

Pensijilan Tahfiz Al-Quran JAKIM-UNITEN (Tahfiz Al-Quran JAKIM-UNITEN Certification) is conducted under the UNITEN Islamic Centre (UIC). It is assisted by a Unit Coordinator and supported by five lecturers. UNITEN Islamic Centre (UIC) serves as the focal point of learning environment.

The program is distinctive and unique in that students who take part in it will attend both academic studies and Tahfiz classes within the same semester in concurrent sessions.
Pensijilan Tahfiz Al-Quran JAKIM-UNITEN (Tahfiz Al-Quran JAKIM-UNITEN Certification) is designed specifically to generate professional graduates in engineering, computer science, information technology, accounting, economics, management and business fields with Al-Quran. As a result, the incorporation of Islamic sciences and these fields is projected to have a fresh impact on the educational transformation process, resulting in the creation of a holistic and integrated human capital.

FOUNDATION IN ENGINEERING (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Engineering)

SPM: Pass with 5 credits (English C, Math /AddMath C, Physics C and 2 Additional subjects C)
O-Level: Pass with 5 credits (English C, Math /AddMath C, Physics C and 2 Additional subjects C)
UEC: Pass with Grade B in 3 subjects (English B, Math /AddMath B and Physics B)

DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL ENGINEERING (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Engineering)

SPM: Pass min 3 credits including Maths C,Science/Technical/Engineering Subject C, Any 1 Subject C, and English E
UEC: Pass min 3 credits including Maths B,Science/Technical/Engineering Subject B, Any 1 Subject B, and English E
STPM: Pass minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00),Pass SPM min Grade E,including Relevant science/Technical/Vocational subject,Maths and English
SVM/ STM/SKM/Engineering Technology/Certificate: Pass with Level 3 (CGPA 2.00) or its equivalent
Others: Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysia

FOUNDATION IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Computer Science)

SPM: Pass with 5 credits (Math C,2 Science subjects C, and 2 Additional subjects C)
O-Level: Pass with 5 credits (Math C,2 Science subjects C, and 2 Additional subjects C)
UEC: Pass with Grade B in 4 subjects (Advanced Math B and 3 Additional subjects B)

DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER SCIENCE (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Computer Science)

SPM: Min 3 credits including Maths C (Candidates with grade E in Maths at the SPM level need to take the reinforcement Mathematics course in the program)
UEC: Pass with minimum Grade B in 3 subjects (including Maths B and any 2 subjects B)
STPM: Pass with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in 1 subject, Pass Math E in SPM or equivalent
STAM: Pass with a minimum of Grade MAQBUL, Pass Math E in SPM
Certificate: Pass Level 3, MQF in related field with at least a CGPA 2.00
Sijil Kemahiran MARA/ Community College: Pass Level 3 in related field
Others: Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysia

FOUNDATION IN ACCOUNTING (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Accounting)

SPM: Pass with 5 credits (Math C, 4 additional subjects C, and English E)
O-Level: Pass with 5 credits (Any 5 subjects C, Maths C and English E)
UEC: Pass with Grade B in 3 subjects (Any 3 subjects B, Math B and English E)
Others: Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysia

DIPLOMA OF ACCOUNTANCY (For JAKIM-UNITEN Tahfiz Al-Quran Certification in Accounting)

SPM/ SPMV/O-LEVEL: Pass with a min of 3 credits Grade C, including - Maths C, Any 2 subjects C, and English E
UEC: Pass with a min Grade B in 3 Subjects, including - Maths B, Any 2 subjects B, and English E
STPM: Pass with a min Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any subject, Maths SPM C and English SPM E
STAM: Pass with a min of Grade MAQBUL, Maths SPM C, and English SPM E
