  • STPM:
    • Malaysian citizen
    • Obtain a minimum of grade B in TWO (2) subjects: Biology, (Chemistry/Physics)
    • Obtain a minimum of grade B in TWO (2) subject at the SPM level: 
      • Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics
      • Mathematics/Additional Mathematics
    • Stream: Science stream
  • Matriculation / Foundation:
    • Malaysian citizen

  • Diploma / Equivalent:

    • Possess a Diploma in Nursing from a Public University (IPTA) or Private Institution (IPTS) recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University of Malaya with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
    • Obtain a minimum of grade B in TWO (2) subject at the SPM level: 
      • Science/Biology/Chemistry/Physics
      • Mathematics/Additional Mathematics 
  • Diploma / Equivalent:
    • Malaysian citizen
    • Possess a Post-Basic Certificate in a related field from a Public University (IPTA) or Private Institution (IPTS) recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University of Malaya with a CGPA of less than 3.00;
    • Obtained at least THREE (3) Grade B in any of the following THREE (3) subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics OR
    • Possess a Advanced Diploma in a related field from a Public University (IPTA) or Private Institution (IPTS) recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University of Malaya with a CGPA of less than 3.00
    • Has a minimum TWO (2) years of working experience in the field of nursing (Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board)
  • UM SATU Foundation:
    • Malaysian citizen
    • Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
    • Obtain a minimum of grade B in TWO (2) subjects: Biology, (Chemistry/Physics)
    • Obtain a minimum of grade B in TWO (2) subject at the SPM level:

  • GCE A-Level:
    • Malaysian citizen
    • Obtain a recognized GCE A-Level qualification

 Additional Requirement:

  • Certified to be in good health without any physical disabilities and mental illnesses, and free from serious infectious diseases, and has never been convicted of any criminal activities that would have implications for practicing medicine. (Exceptions may be given to the candidates who have physical abilities that can be corrected and/or do not prevent candidate from conducting clinical activities required by medical practitioners.
  • Failure to provide valid and accurate information, particularly regarding health of the applicant, may result in the rejection of the application and/or termination of studies in this field.
  • Obtain a minimum of Band 3.0 in MUET for examinations starting from Session 1 of the year 2021, or Band 3.0 for examinations up to the year 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application
  • Applicants without MUET but with the following results may be considered for conditional admission, provided they fulfil MUET requirement within ONE (1) academic session:
    • Obtain at least Band 4.5 (Academic) in IELTS; or
    • Obtain a minimum score of 39 in TOEFL iBT (Centre-based)
