- This programme is designed to prepare you with an understanding of fundamental theories and concepts in mechanical engineering, primarily the scientific knowledge to solve challenges and design systems in automotive, power generation, aerospace and manufacturing industries
- A minimum 10-week industrial training attachment is mandatory as the idea is to enable you to gain first-hand experience in the industry as well as learn how theories are put into practice in real engineering situations

Entry Requirements
- STPM:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics (T) and Physics
- Matriculation / Foundation:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics and Physics
- Diploma / Equivalent :
- Malaysian citizen
- Possesses a Diploma in Engineering recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University Malaya with a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
- UM SATU Foundation:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics and Physics
- GCE A-Level:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a recognized GCE A-Level qualification
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics and Physics
- International Baccalaureate (IB):
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum score of 30 points
- Obtain at least Grade 5 (HL) or 6 (SL) in TWO (2) subject: Mathematics and Physics
- AUSMAT:
- Malaysian citizen
- Obtain a minimum score of 80 in the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR)
- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematical Methods and Physics
- STPM (not from the current year):
- Malaysian citizen

- Obtain at least a grade of B in Mathematics (T) and Physics

- Obtain a minimum of Band 3.0 in MUET for examinations starting from Session 1 of the year 2021, or Band 3.0 for examinations up to the year 2020, according to the validity period on the date of application
- However, applicants without MUET but with the following results may be considered for conditional admission, provided they fulfill the MUET requirement within ONE (1) academic session:
- obtain at least Band 4.5 (Academic) in IELTS; or
- Obtain a minimum score of 33 in TOEFL iBT (Centre-based)
