- SPM: Possess a minimum of THREE credits in any subject or its equivalent: OR
- STPM: A pass with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or its equivalent. OR
- STAM: A pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul; OR
- A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in any qualification with at least a CGPA of 2.00;
- SKM/SVM Level 3, MQF in Early Child Care/Preschool: A Pass
- (Note: HEPs need to conduct specific screening and guidance related to the field of the programme for the students.); OR
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian government as equivalent to the above requirements
