Entry Requirements

  • Accounting/Finance/Economics:
    • SPM: Pass SPM with minimum 5 credits and a credit in Mathematics
    • O Level: Minimum 5 credits(C) and a credit in Mathematics
    • UEC: Pass UEC with minimum 3 credits (B6) including Mathematics
    • Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • Actuarial Science:
    • SPM: Pass with 5 credits (C)
    • O Level: Minimum 5 credits (C)
    • UEC: Pass with minimum 3 credits (B6)
    • Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • Arts and Design:
    • SPM/O Level: 5 credits
    • UEC: 3 credits
    • Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • Built Environment: 
    • SPM/O Level: 5 credits (inclusive of Math for Architecture pathway)
    • UEC: 3 credits (inclusive of Math for Architecture pathway)
    • Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • Hospitality and Tourism Management:
    • SPM/O Level: 5 credits

  • Information Technology:

  • For Entry Into BA (Hons) Psychology:
    • SPM/O Level: Minimum 5 credits including credit in Mathematics and a science subject & Pass English
    • UEC: Minimum 3 credits including credits in Mathematics and a science subject & Pass English
  • For Entry into BA (Hons) English Language and Communication/BA (Hons) in Mass Communication:
    • SPM/O Level: Minimum 5 credits including credit in English
    • UEC: Minimum 3 credits
    • Other qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.
  • UEC English Language: Minimum grade of A2
  • MUET: Band 2
  • TOEFL: 30-31
  • IELTS: 4.0
  • O Level or IGCSE or SPM English 1119: Grade C
  • CEFR: Grade B1 (with at least 2 skills at B1)
  • Cambridge English Qualification: 140
  • Cambridge Linguaskill: 140
  • Pearson Test: 36
  • Candidates with the qualifications stated above are exempted from SE004 Basic English and SE005 English Foundation. Other equivalent qualification can be exempted on case-by-case basis.
  • Candidates who scored lower than B+ in SPM English Language or than the above requirement will have to take the SE004 Basic English subject before taking the SE005 English Foundation subject in the foundation year.
