Entry Requirements

STPM: Grade C in 2 relevant subjects
A Level: Grade D in 2 relevant subjects
UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
Other IHL:
- Relevant Foundation accredited by MQA
- Relevant Diploma (with minimum CGPA 2.5000)^ accredited by MQA
- AND SPM Credit/ O Level Grade C in Mathematics/ UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject
TAR UMT:
- Foundation in Computing OR
- Relevant Diploma (with minimum CGPA 2.5000)^

Compulsory subjects:

STPM, A Level, UEC and Other IHL qualifications must include SPM Credit in Additional Mathematics OR O Level Grade C in Mathematics-Additional OR UEC Grade B in one mathematics subject

Students who do not have at least a pass in English Language (SPM/O level/UEC) must attend TAR UMT Essential English Skills course during their first semester in the programme OR

STPM: Grade C in one Mathematics and one science/ICT subject (Science Stream)
A Level: Grade D in one Mathematics and one science/ICT subject

Students who do not have at least a pass in English Language (SPM/O level/UEC) must attend TAR UMT Essential English Skills course during their first semester in the programme OR

STPM: Grade C in 2 relevant subjects
A Level: Grade D in 2 relevant subjects
UEC: Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
STPM, A Level, and UEC: SPM Credit/O Level Grade C in Mathematics and one science/technology/engineering subject
STPM, A Level, and UEC: Grade C in Mathematics conducted by TAR UMT

Student who do not have at leat a pass in English Language (SPM/O level/UEC) must attend TAR UMT Essential English Skills course during their first semester in the programme

^ Graduates with CGPA 2.0001 - 2.4999 are required to sit and pass a Qualifying Test.

Notes:

a) Students without a credit in SPM Bahasa Melayu are required to pass Bahasa Kebangsaan A before the award of Bachelor Degree.
b) TAR UMT Diploma will be accepted on credit transfer into Bachelor Degree programmes.
c) Equivalent qualifications/qualifications from other Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
d) Subject to the Ministry of Education latest requirements.
