Semester 1:

  • Module 1: Introduction to Medical Physics (5 Credits)
  • Module 2: Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (5 credits)
  • Module 3: Introduction to Human Biology (5 credits)
  • Module 4: Human Systems I – Skin/Musculoskeletal System and Nervous System/Special Senses (5 credits)
  • Module 5: Human Systems II – Cardiovascular/Immune/GIT/Excretory Systems and Reproduction/Endocrine/Respiratory Systems (5 credits)
  • Module 6: Professionalism in the Health Sciences (5 credits)
  • Module 8: Biomedical Laboratory Sciences (5 credits)

Semester 2:

  • Module 2: Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (5 credits)
  • Module 4: Human Systems I – Skin/Musculoskeletal System and Nervous System/Special Senses (5 credits)

  • A-level subject must be taken in 2 consecutive academic years. Any repeat examinations taken outside of these 2 years will not be considered.

International Baccalaureate: 

  • Minimum overall 34 points (including bonus points) with a minimum score 5 in:
    • HL Biology
    • HL Chemistry
    • SL Mathematics

University Matriculation / Foundation in Science / Pre-Medical Course: 

  • CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) including 3 subjects:

  • providing the course in not less than 1 year in the same accredited institution

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): 5 B4's

  • Average of 80% in:

Indian Pre-University: 

  • Pass the NEET Exam and obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the National Medical Commission India (NMCI) OR

Caribbean Advance Proficiency Examination (CAPE):

Bachelor Degree in Health or Pure Science or Applied Science:

  • CGPA 3.0 (out of 4.0) or Upper Second Class Honours (2:1)

Pre-requisite

  • All Pre-Medical (FY) applicants must present a minimum 5B’s in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and one additional subject at SPM/IGCSE/O-Level or equivalent. Entry requirements are subject to change by the authoritative agencies/bodies.
  • Minimum 'Pass' in Bahasa Malaysia at SPM
    • SPM BM is not required upon admissions, however before completion of the medical degree programme. 
  • 1119 GCE-O (up till SPM 2020): Minimum grade 'B'
  • CEFR (from SPM 2021 onwards): Minimum grade ‘C1’
  • 1st Language English: Minimum grade ‘B’
  • IELTS**: Overall score of 6.5 with each component not less than 6.0
  • PTE Academic**: Overall score of 63 with each component not less than 59
  • TOEFL IBT** : Overall score of 90 with each component not less than 21
  • Note:
    • * EPT is exempted only for international students from English-speaking countries
    • * Must be less than two years validity at the time of admission
