Entry Requirements

All applicants who enter a matriculation, foundation or pre-medical programme, except those with a degree qualification in arts or humanities, shall have passed and attained a minimum of the following at School Certificate level or its equivalent:

  • Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM): 5 Credit each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject
  • General Certificate of Education Ordinary (“O”) levels: 5 Credit each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (or Additional Mathematics) and another subject
  • United Education Certificate (UEC): B each in 4 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics or Additional Mathematics) and another subject

All applicants, except those with a degree qualification in arts or humanities, shall have passed and attained a minimum of the following at:

Higher School Certificate level or its equivalent:

  • STPM: CGPA 2.50(out of 4) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics.)
  • A-Levels: Pass with a minimum Grade C in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)
  • AIMST Foundation in Science/Matriculation/Foundation in Science/Pre-medical course** (course is not less than 1 year in the same accredited institution):
    • CGPA 2.50 (out of 4) in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)
  • United Education Certificate (UEC): Grade B in 5 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics
  • UNSW Foundation /MUFY/Western Australia Curriculum Council/ HSC Sydney Australia/ Trinity College Foundation Studies/ Australian Universities Foundation Programmes/ South Australian:
    •  Aggregate or average of 65% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology and Chemistry and Physics (or Mathematics) OR 65% ATAR provided the subjects include: Biology
  • Matriculation/ Victorian Certificate of Education, Australia Year 12/ Ausmat:
    •  Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics
  • National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 3 / New Zealand Bursary:
    •  Average of 65% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)
  • CPU/ CIMP/ Canadian Grade 12/13/Ontario Secondary School Diploma Grade 12:
    •  Average of 65% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematic
  • Indian Pre-University: Average of 65% in 3 subjects i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)
  • International Baccalaureate (IB):
    •   25 points with a minimum of 2 science subjects or Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) and 1 science subject at Standard Level and attained a minimum score of 3 each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics (or Mathematics)

Diploma Level: (Level 4 MQF)

  • Diploma in Health Sciences (course is not less than 5 semesters or 2 1/2 years in the same accredited institution): CGPA 3.0 (out of 4)
  • Diploma in Dental Technology: CGPA 2.75 (out of 4) (Entry into year two (2) is subject to credit transfer/exemption policy)
