What Is IMU Rising Star Scholarship 2027?

Lock in a scholarship for IMU's Foundation programmes before your results are even released.

Minimum 3As in your trials

You need at least 3As in your SPM or IGCSE trial or forecast results. Strong co-curricular achievements are an advantage.

How to Apply?

Submit your application for the IMU Rising Star Scholarship with EduAdvisor.

Step #2: Check your WhatsApp

Step #4: Wait for the scholarship results

    The IMU Rising Star Scholarship is a scholarship that is awarded based on your SPM / IGCSE trial results. The award goes up to RM17,010 for the Foundation in Science and RM20,000 for Foundation in Arts. The application and registration fees are also waived.

    Malaysian and international students sitting for SPM 2026, or for IGCSE / O-Level in Nov 2026 or Jun 2027 are eligible to apply. You must have at least 3As in your trial, forecast or mock results to qualify.

    Yes. Trial, forecast and mock results are all accepted.

    Your scholarship is based on your trial results. If your actual results are better, you'll get a higher amount based on the number of As you score. If your results are lower, you keep your original amount, as long as you achieve at least 3As in your actual exams.

    No, the scholarship is not guaranteed. All applications are reviewed by IMU. Submitting complete documents, including your co-curricular achievements, will strengthen your application.

    No, you do not have to pay anything to apply for the scholarship. However, you are required to first apply for a Foundation programme at IMU, which we can assist you with.

    If you are awarded the scholarship, a non-refundable RM550 confirmation payment is required to secure it. When you accept the offer at IMU, this RM550 will be deducted from your Semester 1 fees.

    No, you are not permitted to hold more than one scholarship at a time. Acceptance of any additional scholarship will result in the automatic termination of your IMU award.
