Step up to the plate to join Taylor’s Culinary Challenge 2026 and stand a chance to win cash prizes, as well as an exclusive masterclass with an award-winning chef and a gastronomic dining experience!
All you have to do is submit an original recipe of your own. If you are selected, you will have the opportunity to bring it to life and cook it for a panel of judges in the regional challenge. Make it into the top five, and you’ll have the honour of entering the grand finale, where you’ll face off against the other regional winners.

What you need to know
The competition is open to secondary students in Form 4 – 5, Year 10 – 11, and Senior 2 – 3 (UEC) nationwide. You will be competing in teams of two, where you’ll be required to submit your original recipes with the theme, “From Farm to Flame: The Young Chef Poultry Challenge”.
If your recipe is chosen, you will advance to the regional challenge, where you will prepare and cook your recipe for the judges’ tasting within a 60-minute time limit. These regional challenges will take place in Johor, Penang and Klang Valley.
The top five teams with the highest overall scores from each region will advance to the grand finale, which will be held at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. Accommodation and travel expenses will be covered for all finalists, along with one accompanying guardian.
The prizes include:
- 1st Prize: RM5,000
- 2nd Prize: RM3,000
- 3rd Prize: RM2,000
All winners will also receive an exclusive masterclass with an award-winning chef, a Michelin-starred dining experience, and a speciality knife set.
