In conjunction with International Youth Day 2023, 4 students from Saito University College shone in the spotlight of artistic excellence for winning the Best Graffiti Artwork award at an inter-university graffiti competition, held at the bustling Lalaport Shopping Complex.

The team of 4 first-year diploma students consisted of Kuan Hau Han (Interior Design), Raymond Yeoh (Multimedia Design), Muhammad Luqman Hakim (Multimedia Design) and Shawn Chong (Graphic Design). Their creative prowess surpassed their competition and they emerged victorious in an event organised by the Malaysian Youth Community, a well-established youth media platform with active collaborations spanning over 160 universities in Malaysia.

The Saito K2 School of Business and Design's Deputy Dean, TS Syed Fahmi Syed Abdul Rahman, congratulated these budding artists, underlining that their achievement reflects the school's long-standing reputation as a champion in the realm of awards and recognition.

Led by their lecturer TC Liew, the team had invested several hours putting up the street graffiti, which is now on display at Lalaport as part of Tourism Kuala Lumpur. In recognition of their exceptional work, the team was awarded a prize of RM1,000.

The award is a testament to Saito University College’s commitment to nurturing artistic talents and fostering creativity among their students. The victory of these young artists serves as an inspiring example of what the youth can achieve when provided with the right platform and guidance.
