MCKL Students Emerge Champions at Inter-College Science Competitions

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) students showed their prowess in science when they bagged top prizes in 2 inter-college science competitions.
Two MCKL teams who participated in the IMU Science Discovery Challenge 2017 on 15 July 2017 emerged champions and third runner-up respectively under the pre-university category.
It was a sweet victory for students Teo Jin Yeet, Cheong Ruoh Wen and Tan Wei Hao, who each walked away with RM1,000 and a trophy for winning first prize.

A week later, MCKL scored another victory at the Monash Science Triathlon 2017 where their 2 representing teams emerged champions and second runner-up each.
The winning team outperformed 14 others in 3 areas — biology and genetics; food, science and technology; and analytical chemistry.
Students Noah Lee, Tan Chia Wen, Teh Hui Wen and Mark Alexis Chia Jihnming won the grand prize, which included a Monash University Malaysia School of Science undergraduate course tuition fee waiver.
