Malaysia's Top Universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024
A record number of six Malaysian universities have made it into the top 500.

Times Higher Education has released its World University Rankings for the year 2024, pitting 1,904 universities across 108 countries around the world against each other.
Once again, the renowned Oxford University (UK) ranked first for eight consecutive years. Notably, Stanford University moved up a spot from 2023 placing second in the list followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
But how did Malaysian universities fare in the ranking?
A record number of six Malaysian universities have made it into the top 500 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Universiti Malaya (UM) maintained its spot as the number one university in Malaysia, climbing impressively from the 351-400 rank last year to the 251-300 range this year.
